Statement of Faith

WE BELIEVE:

1. That the Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God, infallible, inerrant, authoritative and complete.  It is our sole guide to life, worship, and service.

2. That there is one God existing in thee Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

3. That the Triune God is the Creator of all things. As God he is perfect, infinite, sovereign, and almighty.

4. That Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God conceived of the Holy Spirit by a virgin.  Jesus as the sinless Son of God is the only possible atonement for our sin through His death upon the cross.  We believe in His bodily resurrection, His ascension to heaven, and His visible, pre-millennial return according to His promise.

5. That the Holy Spirit was sent by the Father to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment.  He is the agent who regenerates, sanctifies, and seals those who believe unto salvation.

6. That all people are sinners by nature and by choice.  Eternal salvation can only be obtained by accepting the free gift of God by faith through His grace.  No works of man can produce salvation.

7. That the Church is the Body of Christ of which He is the Head.  All who receive salvation through Christ are members of His Body.

8. That the local church is a company of baptized believers in Jesus Christ, associated for worship, work, fellowship, and the spread of the Gospel.

9. That the ordinances of the church are two: Believer's Baptism by immersion

  and the Lord's Table.

10. That every human being is accountable to God in matters of faith, life, and practice. 

    The local church is autonomous and not subject to any ecclesiastical authority. 

   The separation of church and state must be protected as separately ordained institutions.

This is a summary containing the main tenants of our statement of faith. A more detailed statement is included in our church constitution, and is available upon request.
