      North Shore Christian School

Purpose Statement

North Shore Christian School, in partnership with the home and Calvary Baptist Church, seeks to cultivate a Christ-like character in students through a quality educational program guided by a caring and nurturing staff that integrates the Gospel of  Jesus Christ, Biblical truths, Christian values and academic excellence.

History

North Shore Christian, established in 1972, is a ministry of Calvary Baptist Church.  Beginning as a nursery school, grades were added, and the school has continued operation since its establishment.  The school’s policies are developed in agreement with the church’s purpose to glorify God, proclaim the Gospel, build up believers in knowledge and faith, and equip believers for service.  In our school, we seek to be a Christian witness to our community through our educational service.  Without apology, we encourage our students to confess Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord.  It is our intention to strengthen the community of faith among our student families, faculty, and staff.  Our motto is that in all things, “Christ is pre-eminent.”

The mission of North Shore Christian School is to assist Christian parents in providing a Christian-centered education for their children by integrating faith and learning.  North Shore Christian School is committed to teaching a Biblical view of God and the world through the development of basic spiritual, intellectual, physical, and social skills.  Our school scripture verse says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)
